| Easy Clean Strainer |
The VARIE Easy Clean Strainer / Filter is a bucket type strainer that stops further ingress of dirt, pipe scales, grains of sand and other foreign particles into the downstream system.
Various equipments in a building / household have frequent problems like -
- Water leaking continuously in the pot through flush valves or,
- reduced water supply in the taps / fittings or,
- uncontrolled pressure in the pressure reducing valves resulting in failure of boilers, water purifiers, washing machines etc.
- faulty meter reading in the water meters.All these problems occur mainly due to the dirt and foreign particles, coming from various sources, that enter the mechanism of these valves or fittings and disturb their working.
The VARIE Easy Clean Strainer offers an ideal solution to all these problems. By filtering the water before it enters the loop and downtake lines it considerably reduces breakdown / malfunctioning of valves like Flush Valve, NRV, PRV, Safety Valve etc. It also reduces blockages in pipes, fittings etc. It can also be provided before the water meter. Or in industrial applications wherever it is necessary to protect equipments from dirt & foreign particles.
Special Features
- Unlike as in 'Y' type strainer the filter screen of VARIE Easy Clean Strainer is made from wire mesh which have smaller sized pores. Thus it can stop even those small dirt particles which a 'Y' type strainer cannot.
- The transparent filter bowl eliminates guesswork as to whether or not the strainer is clogged and needs cleaning.
- Allows cleaning at the mere turn of a knob thus eliminating the need of a plumber every now and then.
- Cleaning is done while the supply is on. There is no need to close the line while cleaning filter thus ensuring continuous supply of water at all times.
- Gun metal body and SS filter eliminates any rusting or De-Zincification.
- Simple design and minimal parts makes it practically maintenance free.
- Filter mesh is available in different sizes / grades (pore size) such as fine, coarse etc.

- Install in horizontal pipework with filter downwards to ensure optimum filter efficiency leaving sufficient gap to allow removal of filter cover whenever required.
- Provide shut off valve before the Strainer to allow in-line service. In case, if a looped arrangement is made as in an overhead tank connection, a shut off valve after the Strainer can ensure water supply even while the Strainer is under maintenance.
- For installations at the overhead tank where working pressure is low, Strainer should be installed as close to the floor as possible, thus ensuring maximum possible head to get good flow.
